The mission of the North Shore Girls Softball League is to provide the community with organized recreational girls' softball. Our league is committed to being player-centered, with one of its primary purposes being the enhancement of each girl's self-image.

We work to empower our volunteer managers and coaches to create positive athletic experiences for each player with the express purpose of enhancing her overall physical, emotional, and social development.

As a community resource, we encourage families and the community at large to join together in support of our players as they develop skills and learn how to work toward a goal in cooperation with others.

Founded in 1989, North Shore Girls Softball League (NSGSL) is a local, all-volunteer, non-profit organization which provides an opportunity for girls to learn the rules of softball and to participate in a team sport.

Each year, more than 300 girls from Carmel Valley, Torrey Hills, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe, and beyond enjoy the unique camaraderie and spirit that is North Shore. 

The NSGSL is affiliated with the USA Softball Association. The Board of Directors for the NSGSL is nominated by the current board and voted on by the entire league membership at the end of Spring.  The bylaws can be found on the About > Documents page.
