8U TO 14U DIVISIONS

NS Tide is an opportunity for a select group of advanced skill players to gain competitive softball experience beyond the traditional recreation season.

The North Shore Tide (Select) program runs concurrent with the Spring Recreation season. Doubleheader games are played on Sundays from January through April in accordance with USA Softball regulations. 

PLAYING FOR A NS TIDE TEAM

All players on NS Tide teams must be registered for the North Shore Spring Recreation season. Players are required to attend Spring Recreation practices and games. In the event an NS Tide player is not attending Recreation season practices and games, their participation in the Select program will be revoked.

MANAGING A NS TIDE TEAM

Any North Shore Manager wishing to form a NS Tide team must be approved by the North Shore Executive Board. Managers should demonstrate a high proficiency of softball knowledge and coaching experience, and commit to the time and effort required to manage a Select team.

LEAGUE ASSISTANCE

North Shore Girls Softball League and its Board of Directors will support NS Tide teams by providing: field space and lighting for practices and games, safety and sports equipment, USA Softball manager and player registration, and liability insurance.



Once Recreation season teams are formed, NS Tide teams must limit convening to once per week on Sundays. The League will provide a contact for arranging umpires, and will supply a uniform for purchase with a single design approved by the League. If at any time the North Shore Executive Board determines that a NS Tide team is not representing North Shore appropriately, or meeting its established requirements, the League reserves the right to disband the team.
